Your story, clearly told.

I’m Mark Nesbitt. I work with small businesses, nonprofits, and authors on marketing, communications, and writing, and I’ve been doing it for more than twenty years.

If you have something you’re working on, I’d be glad to hear about it. You can reach me at contact@nesbittcreative.com.

What I do

Most of my work falls into three areas, and projects often touch more than one.

Marketing & communications

Working out what you want to say about your organization, and a sensible plan for sharing it with the people who need to hear it.

Brand messaging and positioning, marketing strategy and planning, email and content marketing, social media strategy, campaign development.

Small business consulting

A second set of eyes on the communications and marketing side of running a small organization, shaped around your situation.

Communications audits, growth planning, brand positioning, marketing systems and processes, ongoing advisory support.

Freelance writing

Writing in your voice, from a single page of web copy to a full-length book.

Website copy, blog posts and articles, newsletters and email, white papers and case studies, books.

How a project goes

  1. A conversation

We talk about your work and what you’re hoping to do. If I’m not the right fit for it, I’ll say so.

  2. A short proposal

I write up what I’d suggest, with the scope and cost, so we’re agreed before any work begins.

  3. The work

I share drafts as I go, and we adjust along the way.

About

I’ve spent more than twenty years in writing, communications, marketing, and media.

In that time I’ve worked with small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals, on everything from a single newsletter to a full book.

Nesbitt Creative is a one-person practice, so you’ll work with me directly.

Questions

How does a project usually begin?

With a conversation, usually by phone or video. There’s no charge for it, and no obligation afterward.

How much does a project cost?

Every project is different, so I give a quote once I understand what you need.

Who do you work with?

Mostly small businesses, along with nonprofits, ministries, and individuals with a story to tell, including authors.

Can you write in my voice?

Yes. I start by listening to how you talk about your work, and write from there.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. I work with clients across the United States remotely, and in person locally when that helps.
